It's the last day of 2015! This year was such a crazy, strange, wonderful blur of amazing and scary things, but it was also one of the best years of my life to date. It was filled with tons of transitions, realizations and celebrations.
Michael and I discovered Girls and Game of Thrones (and binge watched both all summer long). I learned how to be a dog person and that I love doxies more than most humans. I finally left the country and traveled through Europe with my person. I worked harder than I ever have during my last semester of college and gave birth to a portfolio baby. I then made a whole new portfolio a mere matter of months later. I said goodbye to college and hello to the real world. I found a beer I actually like (Revolver Blood & Honey). I had some of the most restless months of my life as I waded through unemployment and job-hunting. I made a blog and some projects and learned how to design stuff just for fun. I almost grasped the concept of FOMO and then I lost it again because it's utterly stupid. I was hired as a contract graphic designer at Fossil and I pinch myself every day as I walk in to work.
Basically, 2015 was a lot of lasts and a lot of firsts. I learned a lot about myself and now more than ever I am so excited for the upcoming year. There's so much to look forward to and so many more memories to be made, in 2016 especially. Sometimes the truth is cheesy, and all of my emotions can be described as a big ball of cheese right now. Sorry not sorry. 2016 is going to be a year of other firsts, big moves, learning to adult FOR REAL, meeting new people, going to new places, and having fun! Life ain't perfect, folks, but damn, is it fun. Cheers to 2016 y'all!
